One year

October 22, 2012

Did you know that the traditional gift for a one year anniversary is paper? And that the modern gift is clocks? I personally don’t think that these prescribed anniversary gifts get interesting until the forties:

41st anniversary… land…

42nd anniversary… improved real estate…

43rd anniversary… travel…

45th anniversary… sapphire.

Oh wait, did you miss the 44th? Nope, it’s groceries. If Grisha already gets me groceries, are we practically 44-marriage-years-old?

The other day we came back from grocery shopping to find a beautiful rainbow in the meadow next to our house.
