Nature Print Paper

May 20, 2012

My experimenting with cyanotype continues. My mother found some Nature Print Papers at the PTA Thrift Store and this weekend I impulsively tested them out. Trial and error is my preferred strategy of creation. A testament to the foolproofness of Nature Print Papers, the only one that came out poorly was an attempt to print Russian netting (seen above, third from the right).  The print was underdeveloped and blurred because midway through developing it I realized I was sitting on a ton of ants and hurried inside ASAP.

I tried several sheets with different motifs of the lace from my wedding dress (above), but my favorites were the ones I did with left over feathers from when we made hair accessories (below).

Ooh yes, I agree. The feathers are quite lovely.

If I had to describe them to someone who couldn’t see, I would say they look like whispers.
