Adventures with crayons

Sometimes when I’m channeling my inner-child, I forget to get adult supervision. Like when I’m melting crayons to make cards and I get colorful wax everywhere. I had enough foresight to avoid putting the iron directly on the crayons – but my blotters offered varying degrees of protection. Parchment paper was too waxy itself. Printer paper absorbed everything like a  greasy sponge. But cupcake liners worked like a charm. Iron them flat and they are the perfect crayon-shield.

Where’d I get so many crayons? I dismantled our trendy-blow-dried-crayon-wall-art. Spring cleaning…
