To toast or not to toast

October 10, 2011

Almost a year ago, Grisha and I had dinner with my friend Kyle. He had just been to a wedding with no toasting – which left him feeling unsatisfied. What was he missing? To this day, we’re not sure. But we’d love to hear any marital advice or well-wishes our family and friends choose to share and so we’re giving all our guests an open mic at the wedding.

*Only one piece of toast was hurt in the making of this post.

Hmm – martial advice for your wedding. I’ll have to see if Sun Tzu has any advice on marriage!
    Love you, Mom

My mom is referring to a typo – originally I wrote martial advice instead of marital advice. She found it quiet entertaining – and perhaps equally appropriate in the context.

You are going to give an open mic to a bunch of alcohol consuming partiers!! You need to set up a 5 second delay and a bleep censor. You should also record the toasts to be played back at appropriate moments during your marriage.
